Once again we are reminded that nothing survives the ruthless advance of Father Time, whose careless march leaves total destruction in its wake. The old John Riggs website, which dad and I built together beginning in the late 1990s and stubbornly refused to let go of even as The Powers That Be toiled away to reshape the internet from an open-to-all creative frontier into a restrictive do-it-our-way stylistically standardized Soviet gulag, has finally been forced to pass on into what was.
It's the rise of "Digital Downloads" brought on by the death of physical media (another bit of corporate-fueled Social Engineering) that makes this necessary. The mechanism upon which the jury-rigged solution I had come up with to facilitate these downloads, which I admit was very janky, has now been rendered obsolete by the corporate overlords and will be discontinued in January of 2027.
And so I finally am forced to bend the knee, and let go of the old legacy HTML files that dad and I spent so many hours together typing out. The meta keywords were still the same as his very first "Abracabra, Inc" website put up in 1996. Some of the old code has been transferred over to this new platform (which I **HATE**, btw - there was never a Riggs born that liked doing anything any other way than their own). The Stapler - the side-opening version of the Butterfly - is back!
The classic 3x5 notepad imp device has returned! Like the Butterfly, the Stapler had been unavailable for sale since around 2023 due to the declining quality of commercially available notepads. Dad and I were working on this project, along with several others, when he became ill. All materials are now manufactured in-house, allowing me to produce notepads of significantly higher quality than anything you’ll find in ordinary retail stores!

Just to be clear: All John Riggs items are still available for purchase. I personally manufacture each of his bugboards and other devices as I have been since 2018 and continue to sell them today. Let's make sure history never forgets the name John Riggs!

Around 2018 or so, I took over the manufacture of all of his impression pads and devices. If you have been happy with the quality of those since that time, I will continue to offer these as long as I can still source materials for them. These items are my father's legacy and I have always put the same loving care into them that he did. Now they mean even more to me, and every order I make will be like getting to spend a little time with dad again.
Thank you to all of you who have always shown such great respect and admiration for my father. He never let on, but it meant the world to him - and also to me. He was a fantastic performer, but he was an even better dad. I will miss him greatly, as I know many of you will as well.
Godspeed, old man. I love you always.
